The internets

So I joined a popular online art community geared toward digital art. I posted a piece on there that caused a strong reaction and it amazed me the assumptions people make about you without any information at all. Perhaps I should not be surprised. I have visited enough blogs and read enough comments to know that sooo many people on the internets just need a cookie and a gentle pat on the head. What's ironic, though, is I find myself wanting to make the same assumptions about them. This is something wonderful to be able to observe about myself, with each critical or rude remark I feel my heart race, my blood begin to boil, the fight or flight adrenaline flooding my nerve endings! Is this why people are so rude on the net? Is it all about addiction? So too the internet becomes a place for spiritual growth!
